In the heart of St Albans, Hertfordshire, a ‘good’ Secondary School is seeking a Food Technology Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time permanent position (employed directly by the school).

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Food Technology Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The school is well invested in the Education sector, setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It’s an exciting time at the school!

Early Career Teachers of Food Technology (ECT) will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke ECT induction and will work alongside a range of young and experienced teachers.

  • Teacher of Food Technology or ECT

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Must have QTS or QTLS
  • Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
