Forever Education is partnered with a high-achieving secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire who are looking for a Music and Art Technician to join them from September 2026. This is a full-time 1-year fixed term contract starting in September 2026, directly employed by the school. There is potential for the role to become permanent.

You will support both staff and students by preparing resources, materials, and equipment, while contributing to the smooth organisation and delivery of high-quality Music and Art lessons. The Music and Art Technician will work closely with Curriculum Leaders and teaching staff to provide technical, logistical, and administrative support across both departments. This role involves managing and maintaining resources, preparing practical learning environments, and ensuring that lessons are well-equipped to support effective teaching and learning. You will also provide practical assistance to students when required, helping to enhance engagement, participation, and progress within lessons.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Music and Art Technician:
  • Set up of equipment and preparing resources for lessons, coursework exams and events.
  • Organisation of equipment, distribution and storage within departments.
  • Assisting teachers in lessons in the delivery and deployment of resources.
  • Auditing equipment and resources.
  • Instructing students on use of equipment.
  • Ordering equipment and consulting on new purchases.
  • Upkeep of displays.
  • Liaising with teachers and Peripatetic staff around needs and requirements.
  • Potential repair and upkeep of equipment including cleaning (Art) when required.
  • Assisting students with the use of specific software such as Garageband.
  • Administrative support.
PERSON DETAILS – Music and Art Technician:
  • Ability to prepare resources and equipment efficiently for multiple lessons across Art and Music.
  • Strong organisational skills for managing stock, storage, displays, and departmental resources.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines during busy periods.
