Forever Education is supporting a Secondary school in Slough, Berkshire that is looking for an Assistant Headteacher with a focus on Behaviour to join their School from January 2026 on a fixed term contract to July 2026.
Job Description
- Lead and develop the school’s behaviour strategy, ensuring a clear, consistent and restorative approach.
- Oversee behaviour systems, including behaviour for learning, rewards, sanctions, and behaviour interventions.
- Line-manage pastoral teams, including Heads of Year and support staff, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Analyse behaviour, attendance and punctuality data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with families, external agencies and safeguarding leads to support students with high-level needs.
- Drive staff training and professional development around behaviour management and classroom culture.
- Model outstanding leadership, communication and professional conduct always.
Person Specification
- A highly effective middle or senior leader with a proven impact on behaviour and pastoral provision.
- Strong knowledge of current behaviour research, including trauma-informed and relational approaches.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at every level.
