Location & Schedule
Penrith, CA11
Monday to Friday, rotating 3‑shift pattern: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am.
Pay
- £18.68 per hour for the early shift (6am–2pm).
- £19.81 per hour for the late shift (2pm–10pm).
- £21.58 per hour for the night shift (10pm–6am).
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre‑use checks of the shunter vehicle.
- Shunt trailers efficiently between locations and to the external warehouse.
- Assist with loading and general warehouse duties.
- Strap loads, liaise with haulers, and maintain a loading/unloading schedule.
- Seal, secure, and position trailers to ensure safe unloading.
- Keep outside bay areas clean and litter free.
- Conduct basic upkeep of the shunter vehicle, including checking lights, tyres, and trailer interiors.
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Licence holder.
- FLT Licence desirable but not essential.
- Strong commitment to a Safety First culture.
- Ability to work independently to a high standard.
- Highly motivated with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
