The predicted salary is between 33854 - 33854 £ per year.

Salary: £33,854 per annum.

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31 August 2028 (possibility of extension).

Contract closes: 28th June at 23:58.

Location: Central District office, Sherwood, Nottinghamshire, or Cannock Office, Rugeley. Regular travel across Central England is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop long‑term forest management plans covering 30 years and beyond.
  • Balance biodiversity, resilience, timber production, and public access objectives.
  • Produce UKFS‑compliant Forest Plans and help maintain UKWAS certification.
  • Use GIS and field surveys to inform decisions.
  • Consult widely with stakeholders and support operational teams with data, mapping, and specialist advice.
  • Work independently on the ground for ~25% of the role.
  • Collaborate with district and national planning networks, accessing training and mentoring.
