Job Overview
Forestry England manages the nation’s forests. As part of the National Community Partnership and Volunteer Team, the Project Officer for Volunteering will work directly with the Project Manager to deliver high quality, safe and inclusive volunteer programmes that support the Nature Recovery Programme and the Volunteer Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for volunteer programmes, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and of high quality.
- Implement and support the Volunteer Strategy and its alignment with the Nature Recovery Programme.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and deployment across Forestry England sites.
- Maintain accurate volunteer databases and reporting.
- Assist in the development of partnership activities with community groups and partners.
- Support safe working practices and risk management for volunteers.
