Job title – Facilities Compliance Officer

Salary – £33,854 per annum

Contract type – 3 Years fixed term appointment, with the possibility of extension or permanency

Responsibilities

The core function of this role is to ensure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people that work in them. You will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are legally compliant, meeting health & safety, environmental and security regulations and standards applicable to them. As a key member of the Estates Team, you will focus on occupational health and safety of properties occupied by Forestry England whilst also assisting with the let portfolio. Reporting to the district’s Building Surveyor you will be responsible for completing and overseeing building compliance tasks to ensure buildings within the District are safe, efficient and operating as intended. As the Facilities and Compliance Officer you will be the vital link between site teams of operational, administrative and office staff and the Estates team.

Location

The North Forest District contains some of the most beautiful and dramatic locations in the country. The district extends from the Scottish borders in the north east to the County Durham border and also covers the whole lake district in the north west down to the Lancashire border. In this role you will be expected to travel around the whole district wherever we have buildings located. The reporting office for this job role is at Bellingham, Hexham, Northumberland NE48 2HP.
