Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is an agency of the Scottish Government, responsible for managing 9% of Scotland’s public land. We’re looking for enthusiastic, practical, and creative individuals to join the West Region planning team to help shape the future of Scotland’s forests and land.

As part of the West Region team, you will be responsible for developing and organizing activities across 145,000 hectares of public land in the west of Scotland, covering mainland Argyll (excluding Cowal), Mull, and Lochaber.

This exciting role combines teamwork with logistical and problem-solving skills. Work programmes are diverse and include woodland management, timber production, road construction, habitat conservation, peatland restoration, community engagement, supporting public access, and managing tree pests and diseases.
