Our Tractor Drivers operate tractors and other large machinery within the nursery, complete basic maintenance tasks and report any issues to the Land & Machinery Manager. Tractor Drivers also cover other duties when required, such as seed sowing, planting and plant care, weeding, pest & disease monitoring, irrigation and spraying operations, sorting, packing and dispatch of trees to our customers.
FLS Plant and Seed Supply is a dedicated team of 30 people responsible for growing or sourcing the 25 million trees per year required for the forests and land managed by FLS. We do this from the only publicly owned tree nursery in Scotland, Newton Nursery, near Elgin, which is currently being redeveloped with a 12,000sqm glasshouse.
To be successful in this role you must hold a Tractor driving licence and have experience of working outdoors independently and within a team.
