About Forest

Forest is London's sustainable urban mobility app with over 2 million registered users. We help Londoners move around the city by bike, and we're growing. We're building a performance marketing function from the ground up, and this is the first dedicated hire to own it.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CMO, you'll own Forest's paid digital channels end-to-end from strategy to execution, attribution, and optimisation. You'll manage a significant monthly budget across Google, Meta, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads, with clear company targets across acquisition and reactivation. You'll set up our attribution infrastructure, build our audience strategy from scratch using our email database of millions of users, and use AI tools throughout your work to move faster and think smarter. This is a high autonomy, high-impact individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Media & Campaign Management: Lead media planning and paid campaign execution across key channels, balancing immediate performance with long-term growth opportunities. Manage a significant monthly paid media budget, hitting company targets across spend efficiency, CAC, and reactivation cost. Use AI tools to generate and test ad copy, headlines, and creative briefs at scale. Identify emerging platforms, formats, and partnerships that could unlock new acquisition channels.
  • Attribution & Tracking: Own Branch and paid media tracking infrastructure to ensure accurate attribution across channels, campaigns and outcomes. Build automated reporting that highlights performance trends and anomalies early.
  • Audience Strategy: Build sophisticated audience strategies using first-party data, advanced segmentation, lookalikes, reactivation pools and suppression lists. Turn Forest’s email database into high-performing paid audiences across key platforms.
  • Growth & Collaboration: Collaborate with design and brand to brief and deliver platform-fit creative assets. Design and run structured growth experiments across the funnel, using AI to accelerate hypothesis generation, test design, and results analysis. Work cross-functionally with CRM, Product, and Ops to align paid campaigns with in-app behaviour, lifecycle stages, and product launches.

Who you are

You come with 3–5 years of hands-on performance marketing experience in a B2C, tech, or mobility environment and have a strong analytical mindset. Proven ability to take ownership of significant paid media budgets and work autonomously within the wider team. Hands-on experience with mobile measurement partners such as AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Branch. Experience with Apple Search Ads and app-install campaign management and AI tools. Comfortable with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads Manager, GA4, and UTM tracking.

Location

We love spending time in the office together, with 4 days a week in our office and 1 day a week working from home. If you require a more flexible working arrangement, please still apply! We're happy to discuss it further with you at the interview stage.

Benefits

  • Free Forest bike rides for you and a +1
  • 25 days holiday pro rata + bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance & cash plan
  • Annual personal development budget
  • Free lunch on Fridays
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Regular social events
  • Birthday off
  • Childcare salary sacrifice
