We are seeking hard-working, dedicated school cleaners with a ‘can do attitude’, to work in our special school. You will work as a part of the team undertaking various cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure our children’s learning environment is always clean.
Start Date: June 2026 (Potential for sooner depending on availability)
Salary: Grade 2 £24,804.00 FTE. Actual salary £10,096.58
This is a 41 weeks per year contract (41 weeks per year equates to term time plus 15 shifts at agreed times during the school holidays). You will be working 17 hours per week during term time, working 6:00am - 9:30am Monday to Friday, plus a minimum of 34 hours to be worked during school closures.
We would like you to have:
- Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning.
- Ability to work under own initiative without supervision to ensure work is completed and of the highest standard.
- Awareness of the importance of providing a quality service to meet the cleaning requirements of the school.
- Reliable.
- An understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and your responsibilities for Safeguarding.
- An understanding of Health and Safety regulations relating to the operation of cleaning machinery and materials.
- Aware of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
