PURPOSE OF THE ROLE We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to identify new commercial opportunities, develop relationships with prospective clients, and drive revenue growth. You will promote our comprehensive suite of logistics, customs clearance, customs warehousing, fulfilment (including Amazon FBA), and UK distribution services. This role is highly strategic, allowing the Directors to focus on operational and regulatory compliance while you expand our market share in the UK-China supply chain sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and develop strategic relationships with key international logistics clients, including major manufacturers and e-commerce brands, to secure high-volume freight forwarding contracts. Identify new business opportunities within the China and UK import and logistics sector. Design and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand market share. Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and finalise SLAs for cross-border transport and end-to-end logistics solutions. Collaborate closely with internal warehouse and customs teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer requirements. Maintain relationships with existing customers and actively identify opportunities for account growth. Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and produce reports on sales performance. Communicate directly with Chinese-speaking clients and manufacturing partners to coordinate new business, explain UK customs procedures, and negotiate agreements. REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE Proven track record in B2B sales and key account management within the international logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry. Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is essential due to the necessity of negotiating and coordinating directly with our key overseas stakeholders, manufacturers, and partners.
