Are you a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse who believes that the best classroom has no walls? This role focuses on leading and supporting outdoor learning and Forest School activities within an EYFS team, combining high-quality Early Years care with nature-based learning.
Responsibilities- Outdoor Education: Lead and support Forest School sessions, encouraging children to learn through discovery, den building, and sensory play.
- Level 3 Provision: Deliver high-quality Early Years education in line with the EYFS framework, ensuring children progress toward developmental milestones.
- SEND Support: Provide inclusive 1:1 or small group support for children with additional needs, utilising outdoor spaces for sensory regulation.
- Safe Exploration: Maintain child-friendly outdoor play areas and conduct dynamic risk assessments for nature-based activities.
- Learning through Play: Prepare engaging lessons using visual prompts, audio, and natural materials to bring concepts to life.
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (EYE, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Forest School Expertise: Proven experience or a strong background in outdoor learning environments.
- Nurturing Approach: A patient, proactive, and "rain or shine" attitude toward working outdoors.
- Strong Communication: Ability to update parents on progress and collaborate effectively with the EYFS team.
- Safeguarding: Commitment to child safety and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
