Forest Park & Garden are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team with experience in repairing 2 stroke & 4 Stroke engines as well as a working knowledge of Hydraulics and diesel. You will be expected to diagnose and repair a variety of small engines and equipment, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other larger machines and power tools. The successful candidate will possess strong mechanical and technical knowledge, with experience working in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on small engines and related equipment.
- Repair to larger equipment such as wood chipper and ride on mowers.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery.
- Fabricate and modify components as required using welding and fabrication techniques.
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to guide repairs and assembly processes.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform electrical repairs.
- Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly.
Demonstrated experience in repairing and maintaining small engines and power tools. Strong electrical knowledge, including wiring, soldering, and interpreting schematics. Skilled in fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly. Confident in reading and understanding technical diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery such as excavators and forklifts. Physically capable of performing heavy lifting safely during repairs and parts handling. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail. Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple repair tasks efficiently. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information.
