We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Forest Lodge Vets on a full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered. Our team is made up of 1 full-time and 5 part-time vets, along with 6 dedicated nurses (2 full-time and 4 part-time nurses). Additionally, we have 2 full-time VCAs, who all work together to provide exceptional care. We foster a supportive and collaborative environment, where every team member plays a vital role in delivering the highest standards of animal care.

As a training practice, we value candidates with an interest in coaching, though this is not a requirement. The right candidate will receive a warm welcome and the opportunity to thrive in the stunning surroundings of the New Forest.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first-opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a full-time role consisting of five 8-hour days per week, along with 1:6 Saturdays. No OOH.

General responsibilities include:

  • Inpatient care for hospitalised and day patients
  • Performing general anaesthetics
  • Lab duties
  • Dispensing medication
