Date: 7th September - 20-Week Contract Roads & Drainage300 - 330 (Do E) I'm currently recruiting on behalf of the client, a well-established Main Contractor, looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join the team on a new industrial and commercial development in Harrogate.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a 20-week contract, taking responsibility for the engineering and setting out of key infrastructure works on a busy site.
THE ROLE
Working alongside the Site Manager and Project Team, you'll be responsible for the accurate setting out and quality assurance of the infrastructure package, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with programme.
- SCOPE OF WORKS
- Roads construction Drainage
- Kerbing Pavements and hardstanding External infrastructure
- Associated civil engineering works
- Setting out roads, drainage and associated infrastructure works.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation and as-built records.
- Ensuring works are delivered accurately and in accordance with design drawings.
- Carrying out site surveys and checking line and level.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and the wider project team.
- Assisting with technical queries and ensuring quality is maintained throughout the project.
- THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Previous experience working on roads, drainage and infrastructure schemes.
A strong background in civil engineering and groundworks.
Experience producing QA documentation and managing setting out independently.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Card
- Relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
- Experience using Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment
- Full UK Driving Licence
