Overview

Forest Homecare is recruiting Support Workers to join our Colchester team. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided. As a Support Worker, you will need to have a professional, caring, and flexible approach.

Role Responsibilities

• Support individuals with a wide range of activities including access to vocational, educational and social activities.
• Assist with home related tasks and general day-to-day activities to meet the service user’s outcomes and needs (e.g., budgeting, supporting in appointments, preparing and cooking meals).
• Provide emotional support.
• Offer assistance and prompting with aspects of personal care as required.
• Visit durations range from 30 minutes to several hours based on clients’ needs; some roles may include sleep-in duties overnight.

We can offer you full or part-time hours including every other weekend or one day every weekend.

Experience

This role is varied, and every day is different; being adaptable and using your common sense and initiative are essential. You do not need prior experience as a Support Worker, but any experience in the field is helpful. Hospitality, customer service, or retail experience can provide transferable skills for this role.
