Forest Homecare is recruiting Community Care Assistants, covering Sudbury and surrounding areas. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided. You will be part of an established family-run care agency that operates throughout Essex & Suffolk.

Qualifications

This role is varied, and every day is different, so being adaptable, and using your common sense and initiative are a must. You do not need to have worked as a Care Assistant before applying to us, but any experience in the field helps. Those who have worked in hospitality, customer service, or retail can utilise transferable skills.

Forest Homecare is committed to ongoing training and supervision, qualifications, and continuing professional development. We also provide an extensive induction on the commencement of employment. Therefore, experience is not essential, just a willingness to learn and implement all necessary skills for the safety and well-being of the service users.

Your main duties

  • Helping our Service Users maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Assisting our Service Users with all aspects of personal care such as dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Supporting with preparing and serving meals.
  • Maintaining the service user’s physical environment including laundry, changing, and making beds, tidying, and light cleaning duties.
  • Working in partnership with all relevant professionals to provide a strength-based, outcomes-focused approach to your work.

We provide care 365 days a year between the hours of 6 am to 11 pm and split this over 4 shifts (Morning, Lunch, Tea, and Bed).

  • Have a naturally caring and compassionate nature.
  • Be reliable and honest.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining our Service Users’ dignity and respect.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Car owners – this is essential due to the location of our Service Users.
