Forest Homecare is recruiting Community Care Assistants to cover Chelmsford and surrounding areas. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided.

You will be part of an established family-run care agency that operates throughout Essex & Suffolk.

As a Care assistant, you will need to have a professional, caring, and flexible approach. This is a varied and rewarding role, where no two days are the same. Your main duties will include:

  • Helping our Service Users maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Assisting our Service Users with all aspects of personal care such as dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Supporting with preparing and serving meals.
  • Maintaining the service user’s physical environment including laundry, changing, and making beds, tidying, and light cleaning duties
  • Working in partnership with all relevant professionals to provide a strength-based, outcomes-focused approach to your work.

We provide care 365 days a year between the hours of 6 am to 11 pm and split this over 4 shifts (Morning, Lunch, Tea, and Bed).

We can offer you full or part-time hours including every other weekend or one day every weekend.

Experience:

This role is varied, and every day is different, so being adaptable, and using your common sense and initiative are a ‘must’ for this role. You do not need to have worked as a Care Assistant before applying to us, but all experience in this field will help. As well, those who have worked in any hospitality, customer service, or retail sector, as many transferrable skills can be utilized in this field.

Forest Homecare is committed to ongoing training and supervision, qualifications, and continuing professional development. We also provide an extensive induction on the commencement of employment. Therefore, experience is not essential, just a willingness to learn and implement all necessary skills for the safety and well-being of the service users.
