We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Assistant to join our lovely team at Sherwood Forest.

Our cabins are dotted among the statuesque pines of Sherwood Forest, almost hidden from view. Here, where the legend of Robin Hood was born, you can immerse yourself in the great outdoors across 3,300 acres of magnificent woodland, a truly magical setting to work and grow.

About the Operations Assistant Role

As our Operations Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our Forest location running smoothly behind the scenes. From maintaining our cabins to ensuring every facility is in top condition, your work plays a vital role in creating a seamless and enjoyable stay for every guest.

Set within a peaceful woodland environment, this role offers a refreshing alternative to typical maintenance positions. You’ll enjoy a balanced work schedule while working outdoors and as part of a supportive team, all while contributing to the unique Forest Holidays experience.

You’ll take a hands‑on approach to a variety of operational tasks, ensuring everything is safe, functional, and ready for guests to enjoy from the moment they arrive.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensuring hot tubs are in perfect working order every day for our guests.
  • Completing general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating (basic knowledge desirable).
  • Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
  • Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal Operations Assistant will be a dynamic individual who applies a can‑do attitude to solve any issues that may arise on location. You will be a team player, capable of building good working relationships with colleagues. A love for the outdoors is essential as these tasks need completing rain or shine every day of the year.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A positive, can‑do attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • Great attention to detail, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
  • Some previous experience in a similar role.

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17

  • 16 years: £8.00 per hour
  • 17 years: £10.85 per hour
