We have an exciting opportunity to join our lovely team at Blackwood Forest. Work in one of the UK's most stunning forest locations, developing your skills while providing outstanding service to our guests. Sheltered beneath the protective canopy of ancient oak woodland or situated in the open meadow at the forest edge, our cabins at Forest of Dean offer an escape from everyday life in one of Britain's most amazing forests.
As our Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will support the Food and Beverage Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all operations within the Forest Retreat. You will lead by example, motivating, training, and supporting your team to consistently deliver the "Forest Feeling" our guests love. Your focus will be on maintaining high service standards, managing daily operations, and ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and a memorable experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and motivate the Food and Beverage team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational goals.
- Ensure all areas (café, retail, and reception) are running efficiently and to high standards.
- Deliver training and coaching to team members to help them reach their full potential.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation and service, maintaining excellent quality and presentation.
- Conduct regular health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
- Manage stock control, deliveries, and inventory accuracy.
- Support rota planning and ensure appropriate staffing levels for each shift.
- Handle guest feedback positively and resolve issues swiftly and professionally.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a passion for guest satisfaction.
