Salary: £12.91 per hour

Working Hours: Full-time - 40 hours per week

Days of Work: Shifts vary Monday to Sunday on Rolling Rota.

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join our Sherwood team! Be a part of creating special escapes in one of the UK’s most iconic woodland locations, developing your skills while ensuring our cabins are beautifully prepared for every guest.

About the Assistant Facilities Manager role:

  • Team Support & Leadership: Assist the Facilities Manager in supervising, training and scheduling the facilities team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Hands-On Maintenance: Carry out general maintenance tasks, including using tools, fixing machinery, decorating and completing routine checks across cabins and facilities.
  • Proactive & Reactive Repairs: Oversee and deliver both planned and urgent maintenance, ensuring cabins, hot tubs and site areas remain in excellent condition.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed, and complete required compliance and maintenance paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Guest Support: Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance concerns—whether it’s a dishwasher not draining or heating issues, ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Cabin Readiness: Inspect and maintain cabins before guest arrivals, ensuring everything is fully operational and presented to a high standard.
  • Outdoor Work: Carry out duties in all weather conditions, maintaining a high-quality finish while supporting the smooth running of the location.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on maintenance experience, including using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions, all year round.
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to assist guests and handle queries professionally.
  • Team leadership experience, with the ability to support, train and motivate staff.
  • You must hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence.
