Salary: £12.71 per hour

Working Hours: Full-time, 38 hours.

Days of Work: 2 week rolling rota, working 5 out of 7 days which includes alternating weekends.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our lovely team at Keldy. Be part of creating memorable escapes in one of North Yorkshire’s most peaceful forest settings. Develop your skills while ensuring our cabins are beautifully prepared for every guest.

About the Facilities Assistant role:

  • As Facilities Assistant, you will ensure our cabins are in good working order with well-maintained décor.
  • You will complete general maintenance tasks, so a basic knowledge of using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating is desirable.
  • You will respond to issues promptly and the ability to solve these issues whilst maintaining excellent communication with the guest is essential.
  • Our Facilities Assistant will ensure every cabin is regularly audited to keep standards high.
  • Working in the Operations Team you will also assist across the location as and when required, for example delivering items ordered from the Retreat to cabins or emptying bins on a changeover day.
  • You’ll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and are happy to work with our brand standards, ensuring every guest experiences the Forest Feeling the moment they step into their cabin.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work to keep cabins in good working order and well-presented.
  • Complete basic decorating and upkeep tasks to maintain high standards of cabin appearance.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance issues and resolve them where possible, using basic tools and repair skills.
  • Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
  • Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Great attention to detail, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
  • Some previous experience in a similar role.
  • A willingness to work outdoors in a natural setting, whatever the weather.
