About The Role
You will be working with the Forest Green Rovers academy and will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence based individualised athletic development for the academy professional and youth development players.
Main objectives:
- Design, lead & manage activities aimed at maximising the health, fitness and athletic performance of scholarship and academy players.
- Develop and implement a strength & conditioning programme that will aid the athletic development of all scholarship and academy players.
- Maintain records (for Audit/EPPP purposes).
- Analyse GPS data from game and training days to monitor workload.
- Conduct regular testing of players to ensure progression along their athletic development.
- Contribute to the daily and mesocycle MDT meetings and player reviews
- Contribute to the CPD of all key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the Academy athletic development strategy.
This is a full-time role.
About You
Essential:
- BSc/MSc in Sports science or Strength and conditioning
- BASES accreditation – or the ability to obtain in 12 months
- UKSCA or NSCA accreditation – or the ability to obtain in 12 months
- Driving license
Desirable:
- Coaching qualifications
- Emergency first aid in football (EFAiF)
