About The Role

Forest Green Rovers F.C are excited to be recruiting an Academy Secretary. The successful candidate will contribute by providing full administrative support for all player, team and match administration and to assist the Football Administration Department as required.

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • To ensure effective administrative arrangements are in place for the Club to demonstrate compliance with externally applied rules and regulations.
  • Act as lead administrator for all age groups, including fixture details, transport coordination and parental communication.
  • Processing the scholarship registrations for the U18 players, including incoming and outgoing trialists.
  • Liaise with the Academy Management Team regarding Academy fixture details.
  • To be the point of contact for parents regarding any age group queries. Maintain all player files.
  • Ensure the system always reflects up to date and correct information and make regular amendments to data when necessary.
  • Ensure all fixtures are displayed and recorded correctly or are removed.
  • Communicate all Academy activities, via email or schedules, with parents. Manage registrations for all players (U9 to U19) with the appropriate Youth Development forms or as appropriate.
  • Ensure all trialist are correctly registered and complete the required documentation for any trialists who require international clearance data.
  • Ensure each trialist entering the Academy structure has been presented with the relevant induction pack before the commencement of their trial period.
  • Coordinate the end of season procedure for all development phases in liaison with the Academy Management Team.
  • Organise and communicate player review evenings, end of season celebration evenings and any other club events on the schedule.
  • Keep up to date with knowledge of current legislation and policies, communicating key changes to staff as appropriate.
  • Follow all Club Policies, such as Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Anti-Corruption & Bribery and GDPR.
