Working Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Office Based - With occasional travel to customer meetings that may require an earlier start, later finish or an overnight stay.
Job Purpose: Working as part of the Sales function, supporting our National Accounts team maintaining and strengthening relationships and business growth across our key trade customers such as Jewson, Wicks, Travis Perkins and other national and regional Garden Centers and Builders Merchants.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Sales Support: Dealing with all day-to-day enquiries from our customer base, escalating to the NAM/SNAM as required/appropriate. Help develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts. Working closely with the Marketing Department to ensure all products are listed online correctly in line with customer requirements, with appropriate imagery and content. Maintenance of price books to ensure up to date pricing strategy is adhered to, and invoice queries are minimized. Participate in internal sales meetings. Support the wider team preparing for and attending annual trade shows and customer conferences as and when required.
- Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for trade customers, providing timely responses and resolving inquiries, issues, or requests on inbound calls and emails. Working with the Customer Services Department to ensure queries and complaints are appropriately followed up and a satisfactory resolution is reached. Maintain regular contact, as appropriate with customers via video conferencing, telephone and email.
- Outbound Calls: Run daily/weekly supply chain or sales reports to facilitate regular outbound calls to generate new orders and drive business growth.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Assist in preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analytics for key accounts, to support decision-making and new sales opportunities. Analyse relevant data and proactively engage with customers both by telephone and video conferencing.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance etc) to ensure seamless execution of client projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for the sales team including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and maintaining.
