We are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on mechanical systems, while also supporting electrical maintenance where required.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, primarily on mechanical systems
- Support electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance activities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all equipment
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment reliability and efficiency
- Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis (RCCA)
What We're Looking For
- Multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias
- Strong mechanical maintenance and repair experience
- Basic electrical knowledge (PLC experience desirable)
- Apprentice trained / time-served engineer
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g. MaintainX, Mango) and PPM processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement

Monday to Thursday: 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
