As our BCBA, you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning across the school community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) and design individualized, evidence-based positive behaviour support plans and interventions to reduce behaviour that challenges and monitor the effectiveness of these plans through development of robust data collection systems and analysis of the data.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, the Behaviour Lead and support staff to implement and monitor behaviour strategies within the classroom setting.
- Conduct a range of assessments including assessment for learning, assessment of learning, admissions assessments, behavioural assessments and assessments of maintenance and generalisation.
- Deliver training, supervision, and coaching to staff to build capacity in behaviour management and intervention techniques.
- Work in partnership with families and external agencies to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to support.
- Collect and analyse behavioural data to evaluate intervention effectiveness and inform future planning.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture where every child can achieve and succeed.

We have a strong commitment to inclusion and to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and behavioural, social and emotional needs. We are looking for a reflective and committed professional who is passionate about supporting children’s social, emotional and behavioural development.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) qualification (essential).
- Proven experience working with children, ideally within an educational or primary school setting.
- A sound understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and their application in inclusive, mainstream environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion.
- Dedication, enthusiasm and motivation and share our mission of empowering children.
- Experience of being a strong team player with great communication skills, having the ability to work under pressure, and above all be passionate and committed to the development of the children within the school.
- The ability to work in close collaboration with all staff to enable pupils to have a full curriculum and achieve their learning potential.
- Positive restrictive handling training or willingness to train as a positive restrictive handler.
- Have experience in restorative conversations and are able to equip pupils with de-escalation strategies.
