Bank Dining Assistant in Hartley Wintney

Based at our brand-new care home, Elm Lodge in Hartley Wintney, RG27 8JG. Newly opened, Elm Lodge is a 60-bedded care home providing residential care and offers a fantastic opportunity to set the foundations of an outstanding home. We are looking for a reliable Dining Assistant who wants to make a difference. Flexibility required with shifts on various days of either 6am – 2pm or 12pm – 7pm. Please only apply if you live within a commutable distance to the care home and don’t require sponsorship as we are unable to offer it at this time. This is a ‘0’ hour contract covering ad-hoc shifts as and when required, offering lots of flexibility. We are a new home that is growing so part time and full time hours are likely to become available in the future if required. Main Duties of our Dining Assistants:

• Support the Dining Supervisor and other Catering staff to deliver all catering services throughout the Home, ensuring resident choice, dignity and safety is maintained.
• Provide feedback to the Dining Supervisor to Hospitality Manager about complaints and compliments from residents and visitors on the food and service.
• Address all complaints promptly and ensure they are reported.
• Ensure complete awareness of menu content and all service procedures.
• Deliver prepared food from the kitchen to the Dining Room, or appropriate area, and serve meals to residents and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic working environment at all times.
• Clean the Dining Room following service and ensure all kitchen items are returned to the kitchen for washing up.
• Reset tables, tidy work areas and leave the Dining Room clean, hygienic and inviting for the next service.
• To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

Skills and Experience of our Dining Assistants:

• Previous experience in food service would be advantageous
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, visitors and other team members
• A friendly and cheerful disposition
• High level of written and spoken English – Essential
• To have, and maintain high standards of work
