Project Manager – Covid Commemoration
Salary: £40,388 – £43,382 per annum.
Contract type: Fixed Term Appointment until 30th June 2028.
Hours: 37 hours per week.

What you’ll do
You will lead the delivery of a nationally significant programme to create Covid Commemoration spaces across the nation’s forests—places designed to visit, reflect, remember and reconnect. You’ll work with a team to turn a shared vision into tangible places on site. Working across multiple sites, you will coordinate delivery at pace while balancing sensitivity, quality and strong governance. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, external partners, consultants and communities to ensure each space reflects local voices and lived experience. This role combines technical project delivery with thoughtful engagement, managing risk, budgets and timelines, while creating space for collaboration, co‑creation and inclusive design. Above all, you’ll play a vital role in helping create accessible, welcoming places that support wellbeing, connection and remembrance for years to come.
Where you’ll work
This role can be based at any Forestry England office centrally located in England. You will have the opportunity to work in a blended environment. Travel across England is required, including occasional overnight stays, and the role is limited to the UK.
