Responsibilities
- Lead, co‑ordinate and develop active involvement in existing nature recovery projects across Cumbria, including Wild Ennerdale, the Upper Duddon Landscape Recovery project and Nature Rich Mitredale.
- Ensure collaborations support the delivery of the Biodiversity plan, forest plans and wider organisational objectives.
- Identify, establish and develop new projects on Forestry England land and with local partners.
- Drive landscape‑scale project delivery and partnership engagement across the North West.
Location
The post will be based at Forestry England’s Grizedale Office, with hybrid home working available. Travel across England will be required.
Compensation & Benefits
In addition to the salary, Forestry England contributes an average of 28.97% towards your pension and you will become a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension Scheme. You will receive 25 days holiday per year, which increases to a maximum of 30 days with service. Additional benefits include free parking at Forestry England sites and free entry to National Arboretums at Westonbirt and Bedgebury.
