What you’ll do
- Maintain and repair forestry vehicles and specialist equipment, including chainsaws, trailers, quads, tractors, attachments, cars, vans and 4X4s.
- Inspect, repair, service, weld, fabricate and recover equipment at worksites and other locations.
- Provide efficient, value‑for‑money service to keep the fleet available and cost‑effective.
- Report to the Mechanical Engineering Charge Hand / Service Delivery administrator.
Where you’ll work
- Potential to be based at one of three locations: Sherwood Pines (NG21 9J), Birches Valley, Cannock (WS15 2U), or Bellingham Workshop, Northumberland (NE48 2HP).
- Mobile work covering the Central District, Delamere Nursery and occasionally Yorkshire Forest District; a fully equipped workshop vehicle will be provided.
- The Bellingham Workshop arrangement combines workshop‑based and mobile duties with shared use of mobile workshop vehicles.
- Regular travel across the operational area is required.
