Responsibilities:
- Provide IT desk support to staff, handling queries and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain high customer‑service standards by responding in a timely manner and tracking issues to resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Service Desk team and the wider IT Team.
- Participate in an on‑call rota covering weekends, public holidays and occasional out‑of‑hours support.
- Perform any additional duties as outlined in the role specification.
Working Location:
The role is primarily office‑based, aligned with Civil Service blended working policies. The employee will be based in Bristol for at least one day per week and will support sites and teams across the South West region—including Haldon Forest Park, Bucks Horn Oak, Beechenhurst, Kings House, Westonbirt Arboretum and Cardinham Woods—on a regular basis. Travel across the region is a key part of the role and may occasionally require overnight stays. Occasional travel to other locations across England may also be required to support wider Forestry England business needs. A proportion of home working may be agreed in line with business requirements.
