Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance SSSI condition through creation and implementation of management plans.
- Conserve important protected habitats and species through DEFRA funded projects.
- Provide ecological advice to ensure species, habitats and designated sites are managed in accordance with wildlife legislation, policy and best practice guidance when implementing projects.
- Assist in the restoration of ancient woodland and connectivity across the district through support of operational teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in biodiversity conservation, SSSI management and ecological advisory roles.
- Knowledge of wildlife legislation, DEFRA funded projects, and best practice guidance.
- Ability to develop and implement management plans for protected habitats.
