Salary: £30,105 per annum

Contract: 3‑year fixed‑term appointment with possibility of extension to permanency

Hours: 37 hours per week

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate the collection, processing and management of accurate spatial data for Forestry, Environment and land‑management teams in the East Forest District.
  • Produce maps, reports, analyses and visualisations to support forest planning and operational planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of colleagues, from ecologists to foresters, ensuring outputs meet the high standards of sustainable forest‑management certifications.
  • Assist the Forest Planner with the production and review of forest plans and the coordination of operational planning processes.

Where you’ll work

The role is based in the Santon Downham office with optional blended working. The position is UK‑only and requires the holder of a full UK driving licence for occasional travel to remote locations not accessible by public transport.

Requirements

  • Full and current UK driving licence and willingness to travel to remote sites as required.
  • Strong technical GIS skills and the ability to produce high‑quality maps and spatial analysis.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and understanding of forest planning and sustainable management practices.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
