With a strong pipeline of secured projects and significant long-term investment behind the business, the company is building a high-calibre construction team focused on delivering technically complex, ultra high-end Medical/Healthcare developments across the South of England. Projects are typically high-specification healthcare and medical environments with build values ranging from £50m to £70m, requiring exceptional levels of coordination, quality, and delivery. This is a rare opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth while working on genuinely interesting flagship projects.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of a major £70m healthcare development in Winchester. You will lead the project through construction and delivery phases, managing operational teams, subcontractors, programme performance, client relationships, quality standards, and overall project delivery. The role would suit an experienced Senior Project Manager from a Tier 1 or major project background who is comfortable leading technically complex schemes within quality-led environments.
Typical duties & responsibilities:
- Leading the delivery of a major healthcare construction project from site through to completion
- Managing project teams, subcontractors, and operational delivery
- Driving programme performance and key project milestones
- Managing health & safety, quality, and technical compliance
- Chairing progress, coordination, and client meetings
- Working closely with commercial and design teams
- Managing project reporting, logistics, and delivery strategy
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
- Maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Supporting wider operational growth within the business
The Person:
- Strong main contracting background
- Previous experience delivering large-scale projects ideally £30m+
- Tier 1 or major project experience preferred
- Experience within healthcare, laboratories, clean environments, or technically complex projects beneficial
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong operational and programme management ability
- Commercial awareness and technical understanding
- Stable career history preferred
