This is an opportunity to join one of the strongest residential developers in the South West. You will take full technical ownership of multiple residential developments from pre-construction through delivery and handover, working closely with land, commercial, construction and external consultant teams. The role is hands-on, autonomous, and trusted — not buried in layers of process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day technical management of residential schemes
  • Managing consultants (architects, engineers, employers agents, NHBC, utilities)
  • Overseeing planning conditions, technical approvals and discharge strategy
  • Driving design coordination through RIBA stages 3–5
  • Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC and local authority requirements
  • Supporting JV and affordable housing partners on technical matters
  • Resolving technical and buildability issues during construction
  • Maintaining programme, quality and cost control from a technical standpoint

This role suits someone who enjoys owning projects, not just administering drawings.

About You

Residential experience is essential. You will likely have:

  • A background with a residential developer, housebuilder or main contractor
  • Strong experience on new-build housing and/or apartment schemes
  • Exposure to affordable housing and JV projects (highly desirable)
  • Solid understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC standards and planning processes
  • Experience managing post-contract technical delivery (not just front-end design)
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset
  • Relevant qualifications (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent) are preferred but experience and competence matter more.
