A leading property services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of social housing retrofit and decarbonisation projects across South Wales. The business has secured a significant pipeline of work with housing associations and local authority clients, delivering energy efficiency improvements and refurbishment programmes designed to improve existing housing stock and reduce carbon emissions. With continued growth across the region, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking contractor operating in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the construction industry.
As Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of multiple live projects across South Wales, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards. Typical works include:
- External Wall Insulation (EWI) / Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)
- Window and door replacement
- Roofing and roof insulation / Loft insulation
- Underfloor insulation
- Heating and energy efficiency upgrades
- General refurbishment and retrofit improvement works
You will manage subcontractors, site teams and project activities across several schemes, maintaining strong client relationships whilst delivering an excellent experience for residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing site operations across multiple projects
- Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety legislation
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials
- Monitoring project programmes and delivery milestones
- Carrying out quality inspections and site audits
- Liaising with clients, residents and internal teams
- Driving customer satisfaction throughout occupied-property projects
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget
Previous experience as a Site Manager, Supervisor or Contracts Supervisor within social housing, refurbishment, planned maintenance or retrofit is required. Strong EWI experience is essential, along with a good understanding of IWI, insulation, heating upgrades and wider decarbonisation works. Experience managing occupied housing projects is necessary, and you should be confident managing CDM and site health & safety requirements. SMSTS is essential, while CSCS and First Aid are desirable. Strong communication and organisational skills, along with a customer-focused and professional approach, are also important. You must be able to travel across Newport, Cardiff and the wider South Wales region.
£45,000 - £50,000 basic salary with a comprehensive benefits package and long-term secured workload across South Wales.
