Buyer - The Company: Our client is a leading and successful residential main contractor with an established reputation within the South West market and beyond. Typical projects include large social and private housing projects consisting of 3, 4, 5-bedroom houses and apartments.

Buyer - The Role: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join the regional commercial team based in North Bristol. This position reports to the Commercial Director and works closely with site teams.

Typical duties & responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and purchase materials with key suppliers within a multi-site environment.
  • Produce cost analysis and ensure costing forecasts are adhered to.
  • Raise purchasing orders.
  • Monitor suppliers and review performance targets against KPIs.
  • Lead procurement on construction projects.
  • Schedule materials, raise orders, perform cost analysis, and expedite delivery.
  • Procure materials and sub-contracts.

Buyer - The Person:

  • Solid experience with either a national or regional main contractor or residential developer.
  • Demonstrable experience in a dedicated Buyer role.
  • Innovative with the ability to identify better ways of doing things.
  • A good team player, eager to be part of a growing business and achieve common goals.
