A well-established and highly regarded lettings company specialising in HMO properties across Bristol is looking to appoint a reliable and experienced Handyman / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative. The business manages a large and well-maintained portfolio of residential properties and has built an excellent reputation locally for quality standards and a professional working environment.
This is a permanent, full-time position based from a North Bristol office, carrying out maintenance and repair works across properties throughout Bristol. The company offers a supportive team culture and a stable long-term opportunity for the right person.
This role will involve carrying out a wide range of general maintenance, repairs and make-good works across residential HMO properties. The successful candidate will be a practical, multi-skilled individual capable of completing a variety of day-to-day property maintenance tasks to a high standard. You will work across occupied and void properties, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and professionally while maintaining high standards across the portfolio.
Typical duties will include:
- General property maintenance and repair works
- Basic carpentry including hanging doors, fitting locks, adjusting frames and installing shelving
- Painting and decorating including touch-ups and full room redecorations
- Basic tiling repairs and replacements
- Minor plumbing repairs including taps, traps, toilets and leak fixes
- Installing fixtures and fittings including curtain rails, blinds and wall mounted items
- Patch plastering and making good walls and ceilings
- Basic flooring repairs and installations
- Responding to maintenance requests across multiple properties
- Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Experience working in a handyman, multi-skilled maintenance or property maintenance role
- Previous experience within residential lettings, property maintenance or refurbishment environments
- Strong practical skills across a range of trades including carpentry, decorating and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple properties
- Good communication and professional approach when working in occupied homes
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
