A key position within the commercial team, responsible for pricing refurbishment and fit out projects from initial enquiry through to submission. You will be working closely with the wider pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure competitive, accurate, and commercially sound tenders. You will have the opportunity to work across a broad mix of projects, giving you real variety and exposure, rather than being stuck on repetitive schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for refurbishment and fit out projects
- Taking off quantities from drawings and specifications
- Pricing tenders and building up rates from first principles
- Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
- Building and maintaining strong supply chain relationships
- Assessing risk and value engineering opportunities
- Supporting bid submissions and tender documentation
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams throughout pre-construction
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within construction
- Must have refurbishment and/or fit out experience (non-new build essential)
- Strong ability in take-offs, measuring, and pricing
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ideally some existing supply chain contacts
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tenders
