Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring entrances and exits, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entrance and exit points of the venue to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Check identification to verify the age of patrons entering the establishment.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter anti-social behaviour and ensure compliance with venue policies.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Prepare incident reports detailing any occurrences that require documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems is highly desirable.
- First aid certification is an advantage; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
