Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for compliance‑focused engineering activities across infrastructure platforms, ensuring solutions meet regulatory, security and organisational standards.
- Monitor, interpret and apply emerging compliance requirements, working closely with Architects, Security Teams, Service Owners and other stakeholders to embed compliance throughout the lifecycle.
- Own and drive root‑cause analysis for recurring issues, identifying systematic weaknesses, compliance risks and operational gaps, and implementing remedial and preventative controls.
- Strengthen operational resilience by leading continuous improvement initiatives, introducing improved controls, automation, monitoring and governance practices.
- Maintain an expert knowledge of infrastructure, cloud technologies, compliance frameworks and secure operations, and share learnings with the team.
- Mentor junior staff and cover for senior staff in their absence.
- Lead and manage team members effectively, even under high pressure.
- Share and apply expertise in Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheet formulas as required.
Qualifications
- Practitioner‑level experience supporting relevant hardware, software and systems in an enterprise or secure environment.
- Agile and ITIL Foundation level knowledge.
- Cloud experience within an enterprise or secured environment.
- Comfortable managing and leading team members.
- Ability to create and use Excel spreadsheet formulas.
- Experience in a variety of ITIL4 environments is advantageous.
- Expert‑level Microsoft role‑based certification and relevant product certifications desirable.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills, stakeholder management ability and key performance reporting skills.
