Overview
Foredowne Kennels & Cattery are looking for a new experienced Full Time Cattery assistant.
A general knowledge of domestic animals is a must and qualification(s) in animal welfare are essential. The role will involve cleaning, feeding, exercising and general day to day care of the cats on site. Experience working with cats and in a cattery environment is preferred.
Hours and shifts
Hours will vary but the working day starts at 8am sharp, finishing at 5pm. You must also be prepared to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis (including Christmas, Easter and New Year), and in all weather conditions. The possibility of extra hours within our busy periods is also available as well as covering holiday & sickness.
Qualities and requirements
We are looking for someone who is happy to work both alone and part of the team and who has a good sense of humour and great customer care skills, as you will often be dealing with members of the public. Most important is the passion to work with animals.
A clean driving license is essential as we provide a delivery and collection service for our clients. We also collect and look after animals from various agencies as part of an emergency out of hours contract when needed.

Full on-site training will be given to the successful applicant.
