Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, pipework, and rotating equipment
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Support shutdowns, inspections, and fault finding
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter (ideally in water/wastewater or industrial environments)
- Knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, valves, and pipe systems
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Relevant mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- CSCS card (preferred for site-based roles)
Desirable
- Experience with water utilities such as Thames Water
- Confined space training
- Experience in MEICA environments
