Maintenance Technician with experience as an Electrician to work across a number of sites in Hertfordshire. The role will require you to perform site inspections, repairs and general upkeep of buildings, equipment and grounds to ensure safety and functionality.
Key duties:
- Responding to repair requests
- Conducting routine and preventative maintenance
- Managing work orders and keeping detailed records of tasks performed
- Maintaining equipment
- Carrying out plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs
- Decorating communal areas
- Checking and maintaining safety features including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide detectors
Requirements for the role:
- Technical experience to include plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- A full manual driving licence
- Physical stamina, dexterity, and the ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces
- Electrician qualification
Alongside working your standard hours, you will be added to the on-call rota. Additional payment will be made for the occasions you are called out. You will be required to travel to the council's various sites throughout Hertfordshire county, supporting a number of traveller sites with maintenance tasks, big and small. This is your chance to be part of a team that responds quickly to change and is never complacent. You'll be taking on a diverse range of projects which promote Hertfordshire as an innovative and efficient authority. Please note that this role is subject to a standard DBS check, required for safeguarding purposes. You will be required to attend an interview prior to being offered the job role.
