The Role/Candidate
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Project Manager to work from our head office in Hertford.
As part of our busy project delivery team, you will be responsible for project delivery from point of order to handover of projects in the UK and Europe.
Working in a busy environment, the successful candidate must have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload. They must also be able to communicate effectively at all levels and appreciate customer care. Previous experience as a Project Manager in the Construction industry, preferably in the M&E/HVAC sectors, is a must.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overall responsibility for project delivery from the point of order to handover.
- Management of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet the standards and expectations.
- Be aware of all contractual and commercial requirements, including applications for payments, programmes, technical requirements, and health and safety requirements.
- Overseeing the design process, ensuring that the design meets the client\’s specifications while adhering to CDM regulations, using the most efficient manufacturing practices, and meeting our own quality standards.
- Monitor and log project spending, reporting potential issues to the contracts manager where appropriate.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the customers\’ and companys expectations.
- Make day-to-day decisions to steer projects in the right direction.
- Liaise with all stakeholders, keeping them updated as required.
- Attend meetings with customers and suppliers.
- Reviewing design and design coordination with all stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A UK driving license.
- A passport and willingness to travel abroad for work with the occasional overnight stay.
- A growth mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in project management within the construction industry working on large-scale projects.
- A highly proactive mentality.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- Relevant training/qualifications, including NVQ or degree in relevant subjects, SMSTS/IOSH training, and CSCS Manager Card.
