Grass Plant LTD are recruiting a qualified deputy head greenkeeper for an available post at Rickmansworth Golf Club. We are looking to hire an ambitious and highly motivated deputy head greenkeeper who has the capability to run the golf course independently on a day to basis under the supervision of the regional course manager. The applicant will be an excellent team player who is hard working, reliable and has the desire and ambition to drive the course and staff forward.
The successful candidate will need to be open minded with a proactive attitude, a good eye for detail, a strong leader with excellent man management skills and a good understanding of golf and turf maintenance. This is a full time post comprising of 40 hours Monday - Friday plus paid weekend overtime based on rota.
Preferred requirements:
- NVQ level 2/3 in greenkeeping and sports turf management
- PA1, PA2 & PA6 spraying qualifications
- A full driving licence
- Previous team leader/first assistant experience
- Competent in the use of a wide variety of machinery
- Mechanically minded
- Driven, flexible and good communicational & organisational skills
- Ability to work with the regional course manager, setting priorities, managing and motivating the team
