Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Custodial Operations, the Cleaner II provides cleaning and portering services throughout the University complex. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Essential Functions
- Provides cleaning and portering services in both academic & residential University buildings.
- Removes recyclables and trash in accordance with University procedures.
- Delivers mail in the buildings.
- Rearranges furniture and performs small move jobs when requested.
- Keeps building entrances and perimeters free of leaves, garbage, etc., as needed.
- Signs in and out for all keys.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of six months of prior cleaning experience.
- Ability to read English and follow written instructions.
- Knowledge of general cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance, including standard use of power washers, standup vacuums & backpack vacuums.
