Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions for Full-Time Programs, the Assistant Director of Admissions Events and Programming supports the strategy and leads the planning and execution of recruitment-focused events and engagement initiatives for the Gabelli School of Business graduate programs. The role designs high-impact recruitment and yield experiences that support prospect conversion, admitted student engagement, and enrollment outcomes across the graduate portfolio. The Assistant Director manages strategic academic partnerships to strengthen undergraduate-to-graduate enrollment pathways and has strategic oversight of admission-related activity for academic partnerships, leading strategy and pipeline development to grow internal and external 4+ programs, feeder school relationships, and new domestic/international partnerships. This position requires domestic and international travel and may involve evening and weekend work during peak recruitment periods.
Essential Functions
- Supports the strategy and execution of recruitment and yield events by overseeing the annual event calendar and ensuring strategic timing and program alignment to meet enrollment goals.
- Manages large-scale recruitment programming, including Open Houses, Admit Preview Days, and On-the-Spot Admission Days, to deliver high-quality experiences that strengthen candidate engagement.
- Drives prospect engagement through digital and social media promotion within the Slate CRM, managing follow-up messaging to convert inquirers into active applicants.
- Optimizes recruitment outcomes by analyzing event metrics and KPIs, providing data-driven insights to inform future engagement strategies and maximize return on investment.
- Coordinates on-campus and off-site engagement opportunities, such as campus tours, classroom visits, and domestic or international receptions, to broaden the school’s recruitment reach.
- Develops and sustains strategic academic partnerships and “4+1” pipelines to strengthen undergraduate-to-graduate enrollment pathways and increase qualified applicant flow.
- Manages the Current Student Ambassador Program, leveraging peer-to-peer engagement as a key tool to improve admitted student yield.
- Collaborates with faculty and internal stakeholders to integrate program-specific insights into recruitment events, serving as a liaison to ensure messaging aligns with academic standards.
- Oversees event logistics and external vendor relationships, including travel coordination and conference participation, to ensure seamless execution of outreach initiatives.
- Participates in the holistic candidate evaluation process by conducting admissions interviews and contributing to final committee decision-making across the graduate portfolio.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related areas.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional or pre-professional experience in admissions, event management, recruitment, enrollment marketing, student engagement, or a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, and large-scale events in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across academic and administrative units.
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute events or engagement initiatives that support recruitment, enrollment, or customer conversion goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related areas and/or experience in graduate management education, admissions, enrollment management, or higher education event strategy.
- Experience managing CRM or event technology platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, event management systems).
- Experience coordinating high-touch recruitment or yield programming in a competitive enrollment environment.
- Preferred experience supporting recruiting marketing initiatives, enrollment funnel management, or event-based conversion strategies.
Salary
Minimum Starting Salary $77,000 Maximum Starting Salary $81,800 Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
